Every day during Culture Days "The Great Clothing Transformation," invites people of ALL AGES to create, learn, and paint a garment and leave with a one-of-a-kind piece of wearable art.

For Culture Days, Lennard Taylor transforms 67 Sherbrook Street into an interactive
creative experience where visitors become the artists.
Visitors can purchase or bring a garment to transform it through
painting, mending, and embroidery. The event celebrates creativity,
sustainability, and giving clothing a second life.

Experience Stations
Paint
Join a quick demonstration by Lennard Taylor, then paint your own garment. No
experience is necessary, seriously anyone can do it, come try it. 

Mend
Learn visible mending, embroidery, creative patching, and hand needle techniques from
LT or DD to discover how repairs can become beautiful design features.

Alteration Bar
Watch Claire and Shirley as they sew garments and fix repairs in action, including hemming, sleeve shortening and garment refreshes.

Clothing Graveyard
Walk through an outdoor art installation of damaged garments made into living
monuments of textile waste which tells a story of our current fast fashion costs and trail of destruction. This portion of the exhibition is designed to encourage visitors to rethink fast fashion and what we are doing to our planet.
