Lennard Taylor is a Canadian multidisciplinary artist whose practice spans painting, sculpture, wearable art and participatory experiences. For more than two decades, he has explored clothing as a vessel for identity, memory and transformation.

Working from his studio at 67 Sherbrook Street in Winnipeg, Taylor combines expressive painting, experimental garment design and large-scale installation. His practice challenges the culture of disposable fashion by asking audiences to reconsider what clothing carries, communicates and becomes over time.

Taylor’s signature project, Paint, Mend and Play, transforms this philosophy into a participatory experience. Guests bring garments they might otherwise discard and use painting, mending and creative intervention to turn them into personal works of wearable art.

Across his work, Taylor moves between the intimate scale of a garment and the monumental scale of sculpture and installation. Each form contributes to a larger artistic vision: transforming our relationship with what we wear, what we preserve and how we see ourselves.
